Goal

Students have requested to learn how to crochet in the Family & Consumer Science course. This is part of our sewing learning goal.

Category

School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.

What will be done with my students

Students will learn to crochet using small kits and video tutorials. This is a valuable skill and will increase their eye-hand coordination, patience, and self-reliance.

Benefits to my students

To complete the activity, we will need to purchase the yarn and crochet needles. Ideally we would like to have a kit for a small project for each student. Since we also cook in our class, we can create dish clothes while learning.

Budget Narrative

The funds will purchase a small Amigurumi crochet kit for each student.
