Goal
My goal is to turn learned helplessness into learned self-helpfulness
Turning learned helplessness into learned self-helpfulness is about reclaiming ownership, building confidence through small, consistent actions, and teaching students to recognize their power in being responsible for knowing what to do for homework.
Using planners, and intentional extrinsic motivators, students will gain internal motivation and confidence to attempts educational materials and increase their learning and confidence in learning to do for themself.

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
What will be done with my students
Using planners daily to record homework and take notes to and from home. Also to let parents see what their child is doing and learning at school.
Benefits to my students
The improvement and change I hope to see is that the students will take ownership of their work. I will measure this by checking the planners daily, by seeing if the students have completed work assigned, parents have sign the planner, and overall learning is improving.
