What will be done with my students
I plan to create a classroom with varying seating for students. Allowing students different seating options allows them to take responsibility for their learning and understanding how they learn best. For example, some students maintain better focus when able to complete work seated on the floor or leaning on a pillow. Some students may need cushioned seating to help relax. Other students may require seating suitable for sensory needs.
Benefits to my students
By giving students various seating options, they are able to learn more about themselves and how they learn best. Student outcomes will be measured based on increased classroom engagement.
