Goal
The goal of this project is for all students to read the 15 Sunshine State Books. Students will earn badges, track their goal, and get to vote for their favorite. Having a class set will allow us to read them in school, at home, and share the experience of reading with families.

What will be done with my students
Students will have a goal of reading all 15 Sunshine State Readers. This is something students do each year and it is very exciting for them. There are prizes and initiatives for students to help them stay motivated and read each one. This goal will help students build a love for learning and read different types of books that Florida has chosen for their grade.
Benefits to my students
There are many benefits for this grant. First and foremost building a love for reading and reading different types of books. Second, students will be making a goal and keeping track of it, which will help with our Leader in Me initiative. Last, students will be building their reading comprehension and fluency as they read each book.
Budget Narrative
This book list budget includes all of the Sunshine State Reader books for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as the early chapter books of Sunshine State Jr. Reader for my ELL students and students with IEP's. I have also included the price for the brag tags that each student will earn after they read and pass the AR quiz. The prices included are the best current available through Amazon.
