Goal

The purpose of this project is to have students use Classkick technology program to complete work, help others students, and to receive feedback from the teacher in real time. There is a need for a classroom of students to be monitored while working, as well as to assist and guide students. This program allows all of that, at the same time! It allows students questions and teacher help, without bringing attention to the student, which increases their engagement and motivation for the task. This will then allow students to work towards mastery of grade level standards.

What will be done with my students

Classkick is an online platform on which teachers can upload assignments or create assignments. Students will then complete their work on the platform. This can be used across all subject areas. Students can solve math problems, show their work, complete writing tasks, do an escape room...any assignment/activity can be created on this platform! Students can "raise" their hand for completion or for help. On the computer, the teacher is able to view all of the students working in live time, and is able to give them feedback or assistance immediately. It is the entire classroom on a screen and eliminates the need for a student to feel singled out upon asking for assistance. The assistance, feedback, correction or praise is given right there on the student's work on the program. This allows the student to feel more safe about making any errors, and more confident to take risks. All of that will enable the student to meet expectations for the grade level standard that he is working on.
 

 

Benefits to my students

If this project is funded, students scores will be able to improve and meet the grade level standards. This Classkick program highly benefits students in many ways. There are various tools on this program, in which students are able to utilize to complete their work. From highlighting, drawing, typing, uploading pictures, hyperlinks and using voice recordings, students have numerous tools not only to complete their work, but to receive instruction or feedback in different ways. Students can receive assignments in different ways as well: multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, drop downs, using manipulatives...and they can store their work in an online "portfolio". Because teachers can see all students as they are working in live time, students are able to receive immediate feedback, which assists them if they are having trouble understanding or completing an assignment. Students can raise their online "hand" and teachers can not only give the feedback but can give online "stickers" for praise. Students are able to see their grades immediately as well. Students can also use this program whether they are in school physically or at home virtually. With the funding of this program, students will be able to achieve mastery on the content, and this data will be reflect in the grades on their work. 

 

Budget Narrative

This is the price for a one-year Classkick pro subscription. With a pro subscription, I can create an unlimited amount of assignments across all content areas. This subscription will be able to service 3 classes with a total of 76 or more students.
