Goal
The purpose is to maintain team uniform compliance for the FHSAA, allowing these student-athletes to be able to represent their school. Being able to compete throughout the state of Florida provides these student-athletes opportunities to be leaders both in and outside of the classroom modeling determination, perseverance, and commitment.
Category
School-Wide, Grade-Level, Or Class Events/Programs - Parent Nights, Honor Roll Celebrations, EOY Events, etc.
What will be done with my students
This project will outfit a full team for both girls' and boys' Cross-Country running teams. This project is aimed at assisting under-privileged students-athletes to be in compliance with the FHSAA's team uniform guidelines by obtaining regulation uniforms that will allow them to be able to continue to compete at the local, District, Regional, and state level competitions.
Benefits to my students
This project will allow the student-athletes to focus on their training by alleviating the stress of the uncertainty of being in compliance and not being able to complete and replacing it with motivation, confidence, and pride knowing they can compete against the top teams for their school, their district, the stakeholders, and for themselves. The results for individuals and teams are recorded and published on multiple platforms.
Budget Narrative
The grant funds will be used to purchase X-Country uniforms (racing tops and shorts) for both girl and boy student-athletes. I will be responsible for paying the shipping and taxes.
