Goal

The overall purpose of providing sensory materials in a classroom for children with ASD is to support their sensory regulation, emotional well-being, and engagement in learning.

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc. 

 

What will be done with my students

The materials requested will meet the needs of all students in our school. These materials supports regulation and self-control, enhances engagement and learning, improves communications and social skills, and builds independence and confidence. 

 

Benefits to my students

Support regulation and self-control, enhance engagement and learning, improve communications and social skills, build independence and confidence. We will measure these outcomes by the decrease in behavior frequency. 

 

Budget Narrative

All of these items will be shared with all students in our school, not just our students with special needs. We are planning on creating a sensory room for all students to access.
