By engaging with the Oregon Trail game, students will:
Learn about American pioneers: Understand the challenges faced by early settlers as they embarked on their arduous journey across the frontier.

Develop critical thinking skills: Make strategic decisions related to resource management, survival, and navigation.

Explore geography and history: Discover landmarks, natural features, and historical events along the Oregon Trail route.

Experience empathy: Connect with the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped our nation’s history.

What will be done with my students

Implementation Plan:

Classroom Integration: The Micro Arcade Oregon Trail games will be incorporated into social studies and history classes. Students will play individually or collaboratively, fostering discussion and teamwork.

Interactive Learning Stations: We’ll set up dedicated stations where students can explore the game during periods. These stations will encourage curiosity and self-directed learning.

Cross-Curricular Connections: Teachers from various subjects (such as geography, language arts, and mathematics) will integrate Oregon Trail gameplay into their lessons, reinforcing interdisciplinary connections.
