Goal
My goal is to purchase a class set of graphing calculators as an accommodation for Algebra 2 students who are struggling in math so that they can score higher on tests and the end-of-year exam.
What will be done with my students
Students who struggle to graph functions can use the graphing calculators during classwork assignments, quizzes, and tests to graph functions to make sure that their answers are correct. Also, when my ESOL students don't understand my explanations due to the language barrier, they can use the graphing calculators to graph functions because it is very easy to show them how to type in a function when I can't speak their native language.
Benefits to my students
I expect the class averages to be higher on the chapter tests and on the second semester exam compared to last semester.
