Goal
Provide students with resources to help them meet their needs to self-regulate and maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
What will be done with my students
By being able to provide students with resources such as curriculum materials that are not provided by the district, as well as sensory toys and materials that will help them self-regulate based on their unique needs will help to keep students in the classroom learning and prevent them from disrupting the instruction of themselves and classmates.
Benefits to my students
Staff will help guide students in finding sensory items that they can use with some manner of independence and efficiency to increase the length of time engaged in learning activities in the classroom. When items are being used properly and consistently, the student should be able to use given items to help themselves self-regulate as needed.
