Goal

The goal of this project is to fund costumes for the RHS Starlets Color Guard Team for their performance of Suenos de Cali at the 2024 FFCC Championship Show.  

What will be done with my students

As part of the curriculum for the Eurhythmics class, students learn dance and movement techniques including how to spin flags, sabres, and rifles. The Robinson High School "Starlets" Color Guard is half way through the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit 2024 Color Guard Competition Season. Every week these RHS students practice for hours, learning difficult choreography, improving skills and teamwork, for demonstration at local Color Guard Competition shows. the season will culminate at the 2024 FFCC Championships in Daytona Beach on March 28th-30th. Through your support of this outstanding scholastic program, the tradition of excellence in the Robinson Starlets will continue to grow. 

Benefits to my students

The cost we are requesting your support for in this grant are costumes for our show. Without costumes, our team will will have no chance of placing at the championship. Additional expenses that are funded by parents and individual donations are over $3,500 for show design and choreography, equipment, team meals, and transportation costs. Through your support of this outstanding scholastic program, the tradition of excellence in the Robinson Starlets will continue to grow.  

Budget Narrative

This request will cover the cost of 12 uniforms/costumes for just our members performing at the 2024 FFCC Championship in Daytona. An additional $394.20 would be required for understudy costumes.
