Goal
The goal of this project is to create a variety of learning gardens that would provide hands on experiences for our students to grow flowers, fruits and vegetables throughout the school campus.
What will be done with my students
This project would benefit our students by providing them with the opportunity to develop and create various gardens throughout our school campus. It would enhance their Science-learning with on-hands participation and maintaining of the plants as they grow. Students will be taught respect for our environment, caring, responsibility and structure through creating these gardens. As the gardens are flourishing with flowers, fruits and vegetables, the students will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature, providing a calming and flourishing environment for them to be educated. The flowers, fruits and vegetables will be donated to the on-sight food pantry at Kenly Elementary in order to contribute to those in need throughout our community.
Benefits to my students
The expected outcomes of this project will be to create a variety of gardens throughout the school campus to enhance the beauty, initiate student participation within a community, provide on-hands science learning activities, teach respect and responsibility and provide additional food resources to the on-sight food pantry.
