Goal

I would like to give our Autistic students a place to calm down and re-focus on their school work.

https://www.playlearn.com/interactive-sensory-aquarium-bubble-tube-with-stainless-steel-safety-base6ft

What will be done with my students

Our growing number of students often get over-stimulated in their classrooms and need a separate area to calm down. I would like to have this bubble tube to put in a room that they could escape from class chaos and refocus and calm down so they can return to learning. This item would be placed in the ESE Specialist's office (which is an empty classroom) so kids can come there when they need time to calm or refocus. It would be extra beneficial for our Autistic students, but could be used by any kids needing a mental break or having an emotional issue.

Benefits to my students

Our students will be able to escape to a calm area and focus on the bubble tube to meet their sensory needs so they can return to class calm and ready to work and learn. This would provide a calming place for years for so many kids. Sometimes they just get stressed from home or live situations and need a quiet place to gather themselves and refocus on learning.
