Goal

Students will learn tap steps so that they can create rhythms with their feet as the instrument.

What will be done with my students

Students will explore a unit in tap dance where they will begin to learn the steps in their street shoes, but as they show understanding of each step be given the opportunity to explore these steps in a real tap shoe. They will learn the steps from me as well as a guest tapper. My students who are in my magnet classes will get the opportunity to possibly perform in their Fall/ Spring concert.
