Goal

Provide reading intervention teachers with the supplies they need to assist students in Intensive Reading classrooms and teach individualized lessons.

What will be done with my students

Students will work with a Reading Endorsed teacher in a small group on a reading lesson that the software has determined was too challenging to complete on their own. The teacher will work side by side with the student until the student feels comfortable enough to go back into the classroom and complete that task on their own.

Benefits to my students

Students will feel confident in reading, students' reading scores will go up, and teachers will feel confident in having the supplies they need to teach valuable lessons at that student's level.

Budget Narrative

The Reading Coach will create three sets of reading lesson binders involving: comprehension, grammar, and word study. Each set will go to a teacher who works with students on small-group reading instruction. All three sets will stay with the school and will continue to be used every year that we have the Lexia reading program.
