Goal

Students will focus to Life Science through a relatable focus on animals. Through exploration of animal life cycles, habitats and animal adaptations.

What will be done with my students

Science lessons will engage students using hands-on investigations of animal habitats and adaptations. Students will also develop their literacy, math, and social-emotional skills as they turn science concepts into reality.

Benefits to my students

Each grade will create models of habitats using animals that are at the zoo. Which will allow students to have a better understanding of each grade's animal standards. Which will allow classes to apply what they have learned during the field trip to the zoo.

Budget Narrative

The remainder will be an out-of-pocket expense to our families. The grant will help make this opportunity more affordable for our students' parents. The admission price is $15.00. Receiving a grant to cover at least half of will help defray costs for our families which will help ensure all students will be able to attend.
