Goal

To teach my students the basics of cornhole. They would be taught the game rules and have an understanding of how team strategy is involved. 

What will be done with my students

My students will first be taught the rules of the game. We will break up into groups and discuss arm movement, speed, and arc (integrating physics and science into the lesson).
Students will be paired up and allowed to get a feel of the bags, practice throws, etc. The end result will be to have a class tournament.

PE 912 M 1: Movement competency
PE 912.C.2: evaluate movement concepts and tactics regarding movement and strategy
HE 912.P 7: Demonstrate health enhancing behaviors
PE 912. R. 5: Exhibit responsible behaviors in a respectful manner
PE 912.P.6: Value physical activity for health and enjoyment
 

Benefits to my students

I like to break away from the normal PE activities and incorporate games that will interest an array of my students. A number of our PE kids don't enjoy basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc. and I like to offer some out of the box options as well. I want to give all kids a chance to find a sport they are passionate about.  

Budget Narrative

my classes average between 30-40 students. I would love if all students could be involved at the same time.
