Goal
My goal with this project is to provide students with a classroom store they can shop at using their Shark Tickets (PBIS tickets). Students earn these in class as well as throughout the school from other school staff.
What will be done with my students
This project will benefit my students because it will give them something to look forward to and work for. Having a reward for their positive behavior has decrease classroom issues and increase classroom participation and engagement. Students will be able to shop every other week until items in the store have depleted. The goal is for the class incentive to last all year.
Benefits to my students
This project with benefit 22 students in my first-grade class. It will support our school wide behavior management plan using PBIS. Students are able to earn positive behavior tickets through the entire school from all staff members and will be able to redeem those tickets at our classroom store using the items from this project. As a result of this project, I expect student behaviors to increase and disruptions to decrease.
