Goal

To engage students in learning math skills (patterns, sorting, counting), practice writing skills, and to explore their imagination in building with magnetic tiles. To also engage the students learning by doing different science experiments.

What will be done with my students

While using a light table students can practice writing, sorting, making and extending patterns, and build using magnetic tiles.

Benefits to my students

To get the students excited about learning. Introducing new items to the classroom always makes student eager and excited about different topics that they may not always want to learn.

Describe the Students

I teach in a 2 CDA unit that is filled with only Gen Ed students. Some of the students are eager to learn and explore. And there are some students who need the extra push to meet standards being taught.
