What will be done with my students

Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem: Engaging in dance and experiencing success through performances and skill development can significantly boost a student's self-confidence and self-esteem.

Physical Fitness: Dance is a physically demanding activity, promoting health and fitness among participants, helping them develop strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Leadership Opportunities: Students can develop leadership skills by taking on roles within the team, such as team captain, choreographer, or mentor to younger members.

Family Engagement: Involving parents and guardians in the program can strengthen family bonds, creating a supportive network for students both within and outside of the dance team.

Positive Social Connections: The dance team provides a structured, positive social environment that can help students form friendships and reduce the risk of engaging in negative behaviors.

Improved Mental Health: Dance can have a positive impact on mental health, providing an avenue for stress relief, self-expression, and improved overall well-being.

Benefits to my students

Ultimately, our goal is to witness our girls becoming more expressive, radiating increased self-confidence. Additionally, we aim to observe enhanced attendance and academic performance, as well as the cultivation of strong leadership qualities among them.

Budget Narrative

This grant will be used to purchase after practice snacks, performance uniforms and to help support our end of the year field trip. We plan to visit Main Event in Lutz for our end of year field trip (as most of our girls have never been before). https://www.mainevent.com/locations/florida/wesley-chapel/
Main Event offers a variety of activities and games that can be excellent for team building and bonding among our group. Whether the girls are into arcade games, bowling, laser tag, or just enjoying some good food, Main Event will provide a fun and entertaining experience for our team. The grant money would help us cover food and activity access for the girls.
