Goal

I would like to have a large area rug in my classroom to bring the teacher and students together for learning, allowing more student to student collaborations and increased student engagement.

What will be done with my students

Students will collaborate with peers on a large area rug to share and build upon thinking during lessons.

Benefits to my students

Close proximity aids in the use of collaborative structures and increasing student engagement during lessons. This also allows the teacher to monitor student thinking and understanding of the standards.

Budget Narrative

The cost of this rug will not only impact my 35 students that I currently work with this year, but will continue to play a positive role in learning for future students for many years to come.
