Goal

My goal is to get 2 sets of these amazing STEM tools to integrate integrate technology and 21st century skills in a way that allows them to explore, create, evaluate and collaborate within the classroom in a fun and engaging way.

What will be done with my students

The grant funding will allow for the purchase of a total of 12 programmable floor robots, called Bee-Bots, which will provide students with an interactive introduction to the basic principles of programming. The ways in which the Bee-Bots are envisioned to be incorporated into the curriculum not only support STEM learning, but also provide students with a novel method to develop foundational skills of collaboration and problem-solving with their peers.

Benefits to my students

Our kindergarteners learn best when they can be hands-on and build language and vocabulary skills when they collaborate. Bee-Bots will give our students the opportunity to participate in STEM activities while reinforcing and using academic skills they can learn in class.

We are a busy class of 18! With a variety of backgrounds and learning levels, we love to explore and learn from each other.

The Hive Bundle is a set of 6 Bee-Bots with a Docking Station to recharge them and 6 decks of Command Card from Eduporium.com My classroom would need 2 sets.
