Goal

to in crease the nature of science and space program. investigating cells and being able to visually show nebulas & planetary objects. 

 

What will be done with my students

they will be equipped with a microscope for a class size of 28, either 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 microscope ratio and 1 telescope.
othr funds could be used for a spectrum analyzer & signal generator to show waves in line of sight communications 

 

Benefits to my students

students can extend their knowledge to the 3 tenents of the cell theory, there further technical use of a microsope relating to careers that use microscopes, further connect and have better understanding of the solar system related to content and stringer nature of science knowledge. the test equipment can show real world application and relate to communication devices they use daily.  

 

Describe the Students

a mix of ell, 504, and some top students. Title 1 low income families. I have a high number of top students in my Accelerated course and some in the my 8th grade advanced course.  

 

Budget Narrative

One Microscope can be used by the teacher to display the needed image on the projector. THe telescope can be used school wide in the open area for special events or during class time.
