Goal

Mygoal is to take students from MDE second grade to learn about how plants are used to grow and provide food for us.

What will be done with my students

In science we learn about the plant life cycle and want to apply this learning and extend it to real life and how it affects and benefits not only people but other wildlife - ie insects as well.

When we take this field trip to Farmer Mikes, they will experience and learn how farmers plant things, how the plants will grow and how the farmers choose the best methods for growing crops for human consumption. They will also experience how this benefits not only people but the environment as a whole.

Benefits to my students

This experience will bring textbook learning and bring it to real life.
