Goal

To increase student engagement and achievement in math and science through captivating videos.

What will be done with my students

Being born into a technology world, students are much more engaged when presented with animation of concepts than just listening to a teacher. We are asking for a year long school subscription to both the MATH & SCIENCE resources of Generation Genius. It will provide all students/families/teachers with unlimited access to a digital library full of engaging videos, hands on labs, learning games and assessments that supplement the HMH curriculum. We are a K-8 school & the concepts are broken into K-2, 3-5, 6-8 videos so teachers can use to review or advance learning.
The Generation Genius videos are produced in partnership with the National Science Teaching Association and closed captioning is available in English & Spanish to support diverse learners.

Benefits to my students

Student participation will increase as evidence by teacher and student surveys.

Student achievement in math & science will increase, as evidenced by classroom and district pre/post assessments.

Students will take the learning home with "real world science" labs.

Budget Narrative

Access to both math & science videos/resources on unlimited devices for all teachers at school (K-8)
