Goal

To update our Morning Show equipment that often requires repair. Currently our equipment is 20+ years old and AV cable. We want to broadcast our daily show digitally, so that we can share our morning show (and other school videos) within our classrooms and with our parent and school community. Currently in need of a 4-channel video mixer, 3 camcorders and microphones. 

What will be done with my students

Our school would like to use digital recordings of student leaders to support parent/family educational support (students modeling how to solve in-class problems) along with Morning Show presentations of on-campus events, daily information, and Student Celebrations to involve and engage parents and caregivers in our school community.
Specifically:
Campus access to video tools to increase student agency and leadership opportunities to celebrate knowledge and accomplishments.
Students, along with parents and caregivers, would have access to videos of student modeling to assist in academic development. School events could be recorded and shared with families unable to attend.
Morning Show equipment (in which all students and staff are informed of current/daily and upcoming information) will be reliable for crew club members. 

Benefits to my students

This grant would support multi-year application of daily Morning Show recordings and broadcasting. Equipment would be used for recording parent information nights and information to ensure fully informed families and community. Increase opportunity to celebrate student learning, while offering an opportunity for students to be leaders within their own class, grade level, and the school. 

Budget Narrative

Roland 4-channel video mixer allows us to create digital video files using district provided programing and broadcasting. 3 video cameras allows us to record in digital format. 3 microphones allow for digital audio. Adapter works with existing audio connector (not required for replacement).
