Goal
My goal is to have coding opportunities to engage my students during STEM time.
What will be done with my students
Students will benefit from having a coding experience because they will use their critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork skills to manipulate their mouse or robot. The coding experience will allow for inquiry based learning using science, math, technology, and engineering. Students will explore, ask questions and discuss their findings with their peers.
Benefits to my students
Students will collaborate with each other to design a path for their robot or mouse. Students will use academic vocabulary to observe, analyze and evaluate their progress and results. Students and the teacher will assess the success of coding using a rubric during and after the experience.
