Goal
The goal is for our 1st grade students to be excited about science each day and enhance their learning through hands on discovery and experiments!
What will be done with my students
Science is everywhere and students love the hands on experiences during our science time in 1st grade! Our students will look forward to science each day when it’s time to put on their lab coats and have their safety goggles ready! Students will want to participate and feel successful each day as they participate in hands on discovery learning and dress the part in their science classrooms! More student engagement leads to understanding and mastery of standards ! Science skills are important in everyday life and this engagement leads to a love of science and learning new things!
Benefits to my students
Increased student engagement will lead to increased understanding and mastery of standards. It also helps classroom discussions with peers and excitement to learn which will in turn lead to higher test scores!
