Goal

To provide a math-making space where materials and manipulatives for learning are easy to access, use, share, and put away.

What will be done with my students

My students need organized materials to explore mathematics facts. With this resource, students will access math materials such as two-colored counters, dice, rulers, number lines, and more in a one-stop storage station with clear bins. It provides them a way to choose the tools that will help them learn best and access them independently.

Benefits to my students

My students learn math concepts best when they have hands-on materials. They need a math center where they can choose what materials they want to use to explore math concepts. Providing a math storage space with multiple, clear-view storage bins will let students find what they need fast so they can get right to the learning, and clean up quickly.

Describe the Students

My students are enrolled in the Midtown Center for Literacy Innovation, a program focused on serving the needs of children who have dyslexia or demonstrate specific patterns of reading difficulty.
