Goal

To enhance learning and mastery for my APUSH and Regular US History students. To expose them to more hands on activities and group collaboration.

What will be done with my students

More opportunities for them to create hands-on learning activities that will be enhanced by collaboration, exploration, self-assessment and peer tutoring.

Benefits to my students

Students will be responsible for collecting data from hands on activities and that data will be used to increase their knowledge where lacking; strengthening their weaknesses and learning how to modify activities that will enhance their mastery.

Describe the Students

My students in every class range from extremely high performing students grade wise to the lowest of students academically. I have 1/4 of my total class number being 504, ELL or ESL students. Any hands-on activities helps them to master their benchmarks and their grades do improve.

Budget Narrative

These tools will help all of my diverse students master their required EOC and APUSH required benchmarks while learning to be creative, self assessors and sources of encouragement for each other. They love working in groups and if we are preparing them for college/workforce these are badly needed skills.
