Goal

Our goal is to offset the cost of the Raider teams equipment and competition fees. Due to hurricane Irma the Raider team did not have many opportunities to raise funds to cover the costs of equipment.

What will be done with my students

Annually the GGHS Raider team competes in the Collier County Raider Competition, To provide JROTC cadets a competitive program in a military skill event and to mirror the State Raider competition as close as possible. The teams will complete in 5 events: One-Rope Bridge, Cross Country Rescue, Team Run, Tire Flip, and Raider Fitness Challenge

Benefits to my students

Every year students develop significant blisters on their hands due to pulling ropes etc. Students will have their hands protected allowing them to maximize every opportunity during training and competition.

Budget Narrative

Our fees to compete in the county competition is $200.
Our student require gloves to protect thier hands and fingers from rope burn and cuts.
The use of hydration carriers will serve multiple purposes, keeping the students hydrated, maintaining a workload during practice and creating unity and cohesion
