Goal

My goal is to enrich and enhance the creative arts through integration of an indoor and outdoor classroom environment.

What will be done with my students

Students will experience art by being introduced to new mediums as well as creating art in our outdoors school garden. The garden will provide learning experiences on multiple levels. Being able to watch plants grow and then have them inspire creative work is an experience my students will never forget. They will assist in establishing the garden, planting, and caring for them. They will then explore different new art mediums such as clay, pastels, and printmaking tools to create works of art based on their garden observations.

Benefits to my students

They will benefit greatly by having time outside, learning about environmental science, and experiencing new forms of creating art, They will also benefit by taking ownership of the garden space and the responsibilities that go along with maintaining it.
