Goal

To reactivate the Thespian Troupe #4096 and provide funding for props, materials, scripts and theatre technology to enhance the Theatre program.  

What will be done with my students

Staging of plays, theatre productions, develop their acting and interpretation skills, costume designing, set building, working with lighting and all the many job skill building that is involved with putting a play on a stage.  

Benefits to my students

Students learn reading comprehension skills through text interpretation. They also build confidence and develop public speaking skills along with how to express their emotions and portray different characters. The skills just mentioned are the skills learned by the ones who are performers, this does not include the skills developed by the students behind the curtain such as the stage managers, the prop managers, the lighting and sound technicians who are all important to the performer's success and the audience's appreciation of the Art form.  

Budget Narrative

The items listed above are the bare minimum costs. There are many more costs, but ticket sales to shows cover them. Since our Troupe is being reactivated this year, we are starting at a Zero budget and any funding we receive will be used to begin our productions.
