Goal
We at Kathleen have had a student pass the first two auditions for All-State Choir and have also had three young men audition for American Choral Director's Association Honor Choir. We need to buy them music and fund their travel to these prestigious opportunities.
What will be done with my students
Students will travel to Tampa in January for All-State where they will stay two nights and participate in rehearsals and a performance with a world class choral clinician.
ACDA students will travel to Lake Mary in November where they will stay one night and work with other middle school boys from all over Florida to perform in an all male middle school choir with a world class clinician in November.
Benefits to my students
Students who participate in these types of experiences develop a strong sense of community, an unquenchable thirst for music, and their energy becomes infectious to the rest of the school ensemble when they return. It also gives them an opportunity to work with some of the very best student musicians from our state and elevates their learning for life.
