The project activity is the purchase and implementation of high-quality choir microphones to enhance student performance experiences and improve sound reinforcement during concerts, rehearsals, and school events. The microphones will allow student voices to be clearly heard and create professional-level performance opportunities.

These microphones will be used to:
Support student performers in concerts, festivals, and community events.
Provide consistent sound reinforcement for both large and small ensembles.
Enhance rehearsal effectiveness by allowing students to hear balanced and accurate feedback.
Strengthen student confidence and performance quality through improved clarity and projection.

Goal

What will be done with my students

Project Timeline
Fall 2025:Finalize microphone selection and place order.
Receive, inventory, and test equipment.
Winter 2025:Begin implementation during rehearsals to familiarize students with proper microphone use.
Incorporate microphones into the Winter Concert.
Spring 2026 :
Continue use in rehearsals, assessments, and school/community performances.
Evaluate effectiveness of microphones in improving ensemble balance and projection.
End of School Year 2025–26:
Showcase microphones in the Spring Concert.
Gather student, parent, and audience feedback on improved performance quality.
Submit evaluation results and summary of project outcomes.

The primary expense for this project is the purchase of choir microphones and necessary accessories to support high-quality sound reinforcement in choral rehearsals and performances. These items will ensure equitable amplification of student voices, provide professional-level performance opportunities, and enhance the overall learning environment.

This kit includes 3 high-quality condenser microphones, microphone stands, and XLR cables. Multiple microphones are needed to adequately cover a full ensemble.
Cables and Connectivity (4 units @ $34.99 each = $139.96):
Professional-grade XLR cables will connect microphones to the school’s sound system, ensuring reliable performance quality.
This budget ensures that all equipment is purchased, set up, and designed for long-term use. The microphones will serve multiple grade levels and ensembles for years to come, maximizing the investment and directly benefiting students in the 2025–26 school year and beyond.
