Goal
The overall purpose of this project is to create classroom room transformations that turn lessons into engaging, eye opening, and fun real-world learning experiences. These classroom room transformations would be designed to increase student engagement and inspire creativity, curiosity, and growth.

What will be done with my students
These classroom room transformations would involve redecorating the classroom to reflect a specific theme. Turning the classroom into a hospital and becoming surgeons for a day to perform surgery on different types of text features. Turning the classroom into a pirates ship and becoming pirates for the day to solve math problems using different strategies (creating a plank that represents a number line, using gold coins to represent a ten frame) to find the treasure. Transforming the classroom into a galaxy or space station for a science unit on the solar system. Each lesson will be thoroughly planned out to align with grade-level standards and learning objectives. The goal is to increase engagement throughout all of my students.
Benefits to my students
Students engagement, motivation, and confidence will grow. Students will be more motivated and excited to learn and participate in the lessons. Outcomes will be measured through assessments, student response/feedback, and the behavior and participation I receive from the lessons.
Budget Narrative
These grant funds will be used to purchase any supplies that could be used to decorate, engage students, manipulate in the lesson, and make the transformation come to life. I hope to use these funds to fund my transformations and bring my ideas to life for my students. I hope to transform my classroom several different times throughout the school year.
