Goal

Our goal is to provide the most favorable learning environment for students. Giving teachers access to guided readers will allow them to share the information in the small group setting or whole groups and allow for more instructional time. This system is designed for the classroom to use to support students with reading and writing instruction.  

 

What will be done with my students

The materials will be given to the teachers to use in their small group instruction. Teachers will be able to preplan multiple groups by using these resources. Teachers will be better able to plan for the core reading instruction.  

 

Benefits to my students

Teachers will be able to incorporate more unique lesson ideas because they will have better access to do so with more ELA materials. Working with researched based
kits that contain sequenced, and high-quality leveled texts. Students will be exposed to traditional tales, realistic fiction, fantasy, and informational text.

 

 

Describe the Students

Blanton Elementary is a Title One school that provides 100% free breakfast and lunch to all students.  

 

Budget Narrative

Providing supplemental, one-on-one, effective instruction in early literacy learning skills. Improve phonemic awareness, decoding, word identification, and spelling with young readers.
