Goal
The goal of this project is to utilize Scholastic News, Super Science and Scholastic Math to enrich, engage and enhance student learning in the gifted classroom.
What will be done with my students
The students will benefit from this project by building fluency, vocabulary and independence by reading across the curriculum. They will be engaged due to the current events and relevancy of the articles and activities. My classes will also be challenged to leave their comfort zones and experience various real-word applications of content in fun new ways!
Benefits to my students
The expected outcome of this project is that students will enjoy science, math, social studies and ELA more because they will have choices in the content they read as well as how they choose to apply the knowledge. It will activate their learning styles and preferences to allow them to be the best student they can be.
