Goal

The goal of this grant will be to used to give more choices to young entrepreneurs when they are designing their group products to sell at our school marketplace day. Their products are designed, developed and produced all by these 5th grade emboldened entrepreneurs.

What will be done with my students

Through out the year, 5th grade students will be studying entrepreneurship. They will learn how to design a solution to a problem, along with learning what being an entrepreneur means, the ins and outs of starting a business, and life skills like creating a budget. The students will have the choice to use the cricut maker to make their product out of paper, vinyl, faux leather and even balsa wood.

Benefits to my students

By designing, developing, and producing their products these 5th grade entrepreneurs will build not only life skills but they will also build confidence in themselves to try new things and even step out of their comfort zone and feel confident that they can succeed. The life skills that they will learn will help them be confident in living their lives.

Budget Narrative

The Cricut Maker has the ability to cut several different materials including paper, vinyl, balsawood, sticker paper and faux leather. It can also cut stencil material so students would be able to make a stencil that they could use to paint onto other materials. The tools make weeding the materials possible and the boxes help everything keeps these emboldened entrepreneurs organized.
