Goal

Provide funds to four Exceptional Student Education Self-Contained classrooms to purchase the Unique Learning System curriculum. System: https://www.n2y.com/unique-learning-system/

Will measure student progress and mastery of the Florida Access Points, since we work with Special Needs kids, the Access Points are the standards but broken down based on their abilities. Unique Learning Systems offers a differentiated curriculum that can cover all different abilities in our classrooms while attached to the Florida Access Points. We have three performance levels: Independent, Supportive, and Participatory. ULS provides a curriculum that, because it is already adapted to each performance level, we can have all students meaningfully participating, no matter their level of ability, and of course, students will be evaluated at their own level to demonstrate what they have learned. 

What will be done with my students

Unique Learning System is designed specifically to help students with special learning needs master their state’s extended standards, as it is aligned with the Florida Standards Access Points. As educators, with ULS, we can deliver differentiated, standards‑aligned content enhanced by assessments, data tools, and evidence‑based instructional support. Us teachers, students, and parents can benefit because with ULS we are helping every student gain meaningful access to learning and develop greater self-sufficiency. 

Benefits to my students

Our school has four ESE Self-Contained classrooms serving 53 students who can benefit from ULS, this curriculum is designed to be taught at each student's individual level, for them to be successful and move learning forward. ULS allows us teachers to provide lessons matched to a student's ability level, as well as to collect extensive data related to that growth informs instruction and documents mastery toward IEP goals and standards. Plus, this curriculum is embedded with fun and educational activities that all students, not matter their ability level, can participate at. 75% growth in mastery with special needs students is expected.  

Budget Narrative
