Goal
My goal is to be able to hear all of my students with their protective masks securely in place, using clear masks. I am hearing impaired, and often have a difficult time hearing my soft spoken third graders when I cannot see their lips. With the use of these clear masks, I will be able to hear my students the first time without having to ask them continually to repeat themselves.
What will be done with my students
These masks will help to keep my instruction flowing without the interruption, and frustration of having to ask my students to repeat themselves so that I can hear/understand them.
The benefits to my students will be smoother and more time efficient transitions along with the gift of better communication with their teacher.
Benefits to my students
Giving both myself and my students the gift of better communication is the key to improved classroom management and a smooth transition into their internalization of critical content across the curriculum which is vital for their success.
