Goal

ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the U.S. National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. Sanitation certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will take the nationally recognized ServSafe food service manager class and pass the industry certification. This class provides the opportunity for students to learn skills that will help them in everyday life for years to come. During the semester the students will have a wide variety of kitchen experiences. They will learn about safety, sanitation, recipes, food preparation cooking techniques, and safe nutritional food.  

 

Benefits to my students

Nationally recognized industry certification allowing them an employable skill. 

 

Budget Narrative

16 ServSafe 7th Edition Manager on-line workbooks at $125 each = $2,000.00 if the school receives this grant is has preliminary commitments to for additional funds to purchase a refrigerator and food to cook.
