Goal

Our goal is to enhance our students understanding of not only a plant's life cycle but toalso increase their awareness in out little community and how they can be a bigger part of it.

What will be done with my students

We will maintain the garden throughout the year. We will begin with nurturing the soil with herbs and plants as well as use of natural materials to provide nutrients. We will grow and learn about plants and their symbiotic relationships in nature.
We will enjoy the fruits of our labor as well as share in the abundance.
A real sense of community will be grown.

Benefits to my students

Besides an awareness of community, they will be able to share in the magical world of how plants grow. They will have the earthy pride of taking care and sharing in the growth of their garden. They will take joy in being responsible of taking care of something other than their selves and see the value of being a responsible citizen. They will reap the benefits, internally and intuitively, of being in a world of wonder ... taking delight in nature and hopefully discovering a passion in plants and learning.

Budget Narrative

It will be an ongoing purchase of supplies, but looking to save where we can and utilize local donations. We estimate a $1000 budget.
