Investor
Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Nassau Education Foundation - $778.00
Goal
Purchase additional parts needed for a successful robotics season in 2019-2020.
What will be done with my students
Build a competition robot, learn programming and strategies, plan for culminating event (either county competition or NEFL level competition), integrate robotics into the middle school student body by having a Lego club at the close of robotics season, etc.
Benefits to my students
Robotics teaches students team work, positive behavior, sportsmanship, and critical thinking along with educational benefits. The programming really emphasizes math with using percentages, ratios, and having to everything from basic math to algebra to calculate the route.
Budget Narrative
We have found that many of the power parts for the EV3s do not last multiple seasons. We would like to experiment with solar power on our robots after our competition season.
