Goal

The goal is to increase student engagement in various subjects such as language arts, science, math, and social studies. Gynzy is a web-based program designed to enrich the learning experience through interactive activities. Teachers can use Gynzy lessons that are aligned with standards in addition to their curriculum to enhance student learning. It is easy to use for both teachers and students and is a combination of interactive fun and hands on learning.  

What will be done with my students

Gynzy is compatible with any device with internet connection. It will allow teachers and students to get the most educational use out of the interactive smart boards, iPads, and chromebooks in classrooms. Students have the ability to use Gynzy during small group, whole group, or independent lessons. All current Gynzy lessons are aligned with both common core and state standards. An example of student learning through Gynzy- one of my student's favorite lessons- is counting money. We were finishing up our unit on Money and Time and I introduced my students to Gynzy. There is a lesson where a certain amount appears on the board along with an image (ex: sunscreen $5.87). The students must manipulate the board and drag the money to show the correct amount in order to ‘purchase’ the item. When they feel they have the correct amount, they press the check mark button and are instantly told if they are correct or incorrect. The lesson gives the students opportunity to re-do it or move on to the next question. There are hundreds of pre-made lessons that will save teachers time on preparing lessons. In addition to math games/lessons, Gynzy covers loads of other important concepts such as phonics, grammar, comprehension, multiplication and division, telling time, geography, and much more! 

Benefits to my students

It is great for all students as it has components for visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. Gynzy allows students to manipulate the board/device and enhance learning using active engagement. The program can be used school-wide with lesson for Kindergarten students all the way up to 8th grade. Gynzy can be used to challenge above-level students while meeting the needs of on-level students and aiding lower-level students through the use of hands-on learning. Gynzy has hundreds of lessons that can be used as independent small group centers, whole group lessons, and even extension work for students that often finish their work early. The best part about Gynzy is that students will have fun while learning. All levels of scholars will have an opportunity to better themselves by using Gynzy lessons.  

Budget Narrative

An annual school-wide subscription to Gynzy costs $995 and includes over 300 interactive activities, over 500 lessons, and includes free training materials and additional support.
