Goal

To provide each member of our thriving Book Club with a copy of Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer, a Florida Teens Read book for 2018-2019.

What will be done with my students

LWTHS's Book Club is thriving this year and they are hungry for books! We will read Letters to the Lost as a club and will be meeting the author virtually (via Skype or similar) in March to discuss the book with her. Students will create questions for the author as well as discuss themes, characters, and issues that stand out to them in the story.

Benefits to my students

Book Club students will continue to celebrate literacy together with a shared reading experience. Students will discuss issues that arise in the story, adding to their Social-Emotional Learning. Students will be able to meet (virtually) the author in March.

Budget Narrative

50 paperback copies from Barnes and Noble @ $8.99 each, including 20% educator discount.
