Goal
Second graders will have the opportunity to observe the process that insects undergo throughout their life cycle first hand with this butterfly growing kit.
What will be done with my students
Each second grade class will receive their own kit to observe caterpillars change into butterflies. As students observe they will record their findings and release the butterflies in our school garden.
Benefits to my students
All second graders will have the opportunity to not only read about this metamorphosis but experience it over several days as they care for the class caterpillars and butterflies.
