Goal

To enhance our students knowledge of environmental actions that affect our oceans in Southwest Florida.Explore marine life habitats and how they are affected by human behaviors.

 

What will be done with my students

The Conservancy will bring their "Ocean Matters" outreach field trip to our campus. The students will get to observe sea creatures that are common to Southwest Florida's ocean habitats.A power point presentation with questions will stimulate student discussions.This will enhance their understanding and appreciation for Southwest Florida's
marine life. 

 

Benefits to my students

Our students will get hands on experience with marine life that exists in our oceans.They will learn some of the dangers that exist due to human behaviors in our oceans.
Students will learn the importance of protecting our oceans fur future generation.They will learn that they can make positive environmental choices to protect our marine life.

One hour presentation for 30-35 students.
