Goal(s)

The goal of this grant is to provide Field Day T-shirts for all students to promote school spirit, unity, and inclusivity during our annual All School Field Day event. By ensuring that every student receives a shirt, we aim to create a sense of belonging, encourage team participation, and enhance the overall experience of this important community-building event.

Project Description

Field Day is a highly anticipated annual event at our school that celebrates physical activity, teamwork, and school spirit. It provides students with the opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor games and team activities designed to promote fitness, cooperation, and fun. Events typically include relay races, tug-of-war, water games, and other team-based challenges that engage students of all grades and abilities.

Field Day is more than just a day of play—it’s a valuable opportunity for students to develop social-emotional skills, practice good sportsmanship, and experience a strong sense of community and belonging outside the traditional classroom setting. 

 

Expected Outcomes

Providing T-shirts for Field Day supports our students and school in several important ways. By supplying every student with a Field Day T-shirt, we ensure that all students can fully participate and feel included. This fosters a sense of unity and team comradery. Matching T-shirts help build school pride and a shared sense of identity. They visually reinforce that Field Day is a community event where every student belongs. Shirts will be color-coded by team, Blue or Green, which helps organize our event and help it run more smoothly and enhances the spirit of friendly competition. The shirts will also serve as a positive keepsake that students can take home, reminding them of the fun, teamwork, and shared experience of Field Day. 

 

Purpose of Funding

Items will be purchased by Seacrest through an online screen printing company via purchase order utilizing grant funds. The items will be tax-exempt.
