Goal(s)

The whole-child educational philosophy of Seacrest Country Day School empowers students through academic, social-emotional, and physical learning. This grant proposal seeks funding for the acquisition of tablets in the physical education (PE) classroom to enhance instructional delivery, increase student engagement, and support diverse learning needs. As physical education evolves to include not only physical activity but also health education, data analysis, goal setting, and lifelong fitness planning, integrating interactive technology has become essential.

This investment will modernize the PE classroom, foster digital literacy, and promote student-centered learning by bridging the gap between traditional physical education and 21st-century educational tools.

Project Description

A interactive tablet will allow for dynamic and visual presentations, real-time feedback on performance data, interactive fitness activities, and access to multimedia resources that support both cognitive and physical development. The technology will also aid in delivering differentiated instruction, as well as facilitating inclusive learning environments.

Expected Outcomes

When students are equipped with knowledge and experiences at a young age, they are more likely to develop lifelong habits geared to maintain healthy bodies. The item requested in this grant proposal can be used with all Lower School students in small group settings and support the physical education curriculum and goals and Seacrest Country Day School's commitment to the whole-child educational philosophy.

Purpose of Funding

The requested item will be purchased by Seacrest through Best Buy Retailers via purchase order utilizing grant funds. The purchased items will be tax-exempt.
